The first thing that you should do if you want to learn to play the guitar is of course, buy a guitar of your own! But choosing what kind of guitar to purchase can be a bit harder than you thought. You have to choose between an acoustic and an electric guitar. You also have to ask for advise if you’re left-handed and you’re not comfortable playing with your right hand. Then, you should have not just one but maybe two or three resources at hand about learning to play the guitar. Especially if you got them for free, I think it would be better if you have at least a couple more resources. Check out learn and master guitar reviews for a good dvd, FYI. It is advisable also if you can get hold of a video on playing the guitar. That way, learning to play the guitar would be easier for you.
