I am a medical coder. I work in a physician’s office. I will be going on maternity leave soon, as I am pregnant with my first child and only weeks away from delivering. To fill on for me while I am off, my employer hired an experienced medical coder. However, she is not familiar with the software that we use in our office. I am teaching the new employee to use medical coding software. Since she is an experienced coder, and she has used a different type of software before, I’m sure she will be easy to train.
