I’m 20 and in debt
Business February 25th. 2009, 6:51amTwo years ago I was a high school graduate and looking forward to my college years. Before I graduated I received several offers for credit cards. I applied and received credit. My parents were okay with me getting a couple of credit cards but did warn me to not overcharge and more or less just use them for emergencies. After six months at school I moved out of the dormitory and into an apartment with a few friends. Our new place needed furniture, pots and pans, etc. My buddies and I used our charge cards to get our new place fixed up. I also charged some new clothes for myself and had to charge some repair work for my car. I’ve had to cut back on my hours at work because of my school workload. I know owe several thousand on credit cards, have two years left of school and can only work part time. I can only pay the minimum balances. My folks are having their own financial issues and can’t help me out with my credit cards. I am now looking into credit card debt settlement. This is so pathetic and I feel like a fool for falling into the credit card trap.
