Over the last thirty years I have taken many cruises, to many exotic ports, but my favorite was actually the least elaborate or expensive, and it was also one of my first.  That was back when my husband and I were first married, just starting out, and broke.  Nevertheless, he was determined to take me on a cruise to the Bahamas for our anniversary.  Since we live in Florida, the distance wasn’t much and he got an excellent price when he shopped for cruise deals.  That trip was the first time I ever wandered the straw markets and haggled over the price of a purse, watched fish in a glass-bottomed boat, or went horseback riding on the beach.
