Most drivers that pull a trailer or recreational vehicle use a very standard towing rig.  They usually have a Reese hitch welded onto the frame of their vehicle, with a removable tongue that has a ball bolted to it.  This is a very normal, and widely used way to haul a trailer.  While it is the most common, it is not necessarily the best application for the job.  If you are consistently pulling a trailer over long distances, than you need to consider getting a trailer sway eliminating hitch.  This product cuts down on dangerous sway by utilizing tie bars and a spring loaded hitch system to insure safety.
